Yes! Watertown kicks off its “Round-Up @ the Register” to raise funds for the Town Square on Sunday, February 27 until Saturday, March 5 at Piggly Wiggly. Money raised will be earmarked to support programming and operations while the Town Square develops revenue streams and becomes self-sustaining.
“The goal is to raise $2,000,” said Bob Mudler, who is coordinating this fundraising effort for Yes! Watertown. In addition, every cent raised will be matched by these Watertown businesses: Oswald-Konz Financial Group, Total Waste Solutions, American Family Insurance - Dan Stukenberg, Thermo-Tech Mechanical Insulation, Grinwald Ford, and Realty Executives Platinum - Katey Higgins.
In addition to rounding up to the nearest dollar, shoppers can make an additional contribution. All they need to do is tell the cashier how much they want to add to their total. “I shop at Piggly Wiggly at least three or four times a week,” Mudler added. “Know that every donation, no matter how small will help us reach the goal!”
